The MLS (Multiple Listing Service) is something a real estate agent will charge you for. Usually around $250-300 at least, for just listing on the MLS (and for them to do nothing else) to be put in a sea of statewide listings. If you contract a Real Estate agent to sell your house, you will have to pay anywhere from 3-6% for this transaction. For example, if your house sells for $300,000 - that's possibly as much as $18,000 in commissions.  (For example, if the "comps" are $300K, you could offer to sell yours at $290K, be on the top of the bargain-list, and still make more money than if you paid commissions to a real estate agent = which would only net you $282K from a $300K sales price.)

WHY IT'S SMART TO ADVERTISE ONLINE WITH US!

Studies and surveys tell us that the "paper" newspaper is soon to be something of the past. So many are going bankrupt. Soon everything will be online.

If we lived in a completely honest world we wouldn’t need locks, keys or passwords nor would we be besieged with all sorts of Internet scams. One of the more common scams involves people copying an ad off of an Internet Listing Service and placing it on free listing sites such as Craigslist.com (that give you no yard signs or personal customer service) for a price 20% to 40% below the actual rent. The scammer uses a bogus e-mail address, often using the real contact person’s name like Jane.Doe@gmail.com. They then try to obtain personal information and/or funds from the unknowing target, the seller or buyer.

If possible, we encourage potential sellers to use paid listing sites. Paid listing sites are safer for consumers to search for buyers, since people who scam are very unlikely to pay money to post a property they don’t officially own.
